Teacher Preview Evenings
The next Teacher preview evening will be held on Tuesday 23 February / Hui tanguru. 4-6pm.
Join us for wine and nibbles, and see our Festival Season exhibitions featuring; Séraphine Pick, Milan Mrkusich and Janet Cardiff, 20 February – 16 May, the new Dean Gallery exhibition; Urban Kainga which includes work by Rewiti Arapere, Siliga David Setoga, Terry Koloamatangi Klavenes, and Nick McFarlane, 16 January – 28 March 2010, and the current Hirshfield Gallery exhibition; Architect Bill Toomath: Liberating Everyday Life 29 January - 14 March. Teacher’s Professional Development Workshop
The next workshop, with a focus on Painting Techniques, will be held on Tuesday April 13 9.30am – 2pm.
$45 per teacher (all materials and lunch included). Using artwork by Séraphine Pick and Milan Mrkusich as inspiration, this workshop is designed for Primary teachers who do not have any training in visual art and would like to develop some skills in different painting techniques for use in the classroom. Bilingual Education & Outreach Programme
Our Educator Māori is able to offer any City Gallery Education Programme as a bilingual learning experience. She is also available for outreach education visits to Kura, wharekura and bilingual units in Wellington region schools. Contact Leah Sheppard for more details and bookings. Individually Tailored Programmes
